Capital One claims Jefferson Parish resident owes more than $4,500

GRETNA – Capital One is seeking more than $4,500 in sums due.

Capital One Bank (USA) N.A. filed a suit May 31 against Gerard F. Friel of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages following a credit card incident in which the defendant failed to pay off the balance of the card, which totaled $4,526.86.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
