NEW ORLEANS – A St. Tammany Parish woman is seeking coverage from an insurance company for damages allegedly received in a collision in the parish.
Tara West filed a complaint on May 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against USAA Casualty Insurance Co. alleging that the foreign insurer failed to perform its obligations under the insurance contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 10, 2016, she sustained severe physical injuries and compensatory damages due to a motor vehicle accident directly caused by the negligence of defendant’s insured driver, Amy Stokes. The plaintiff is seeking recovery for all insured and covered losses she sustained.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, legal interest, costs of these proceedings and all other legal and equitable relief. She is represented by Joseph M. Miller, Benjamin B. Saunders and Carisa German-Oden of Davis, Saunders, Miller & Oden PLC in Mandeville.
