SHREVEPORT – A Shreveport man alleges he was sexually harassed by a female supervisor.

Alex Wilson filed a complaint on May 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Shreveport Division against Azalea Cleaners Inc. alleging that the former employer violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Jan. 2, 2015, he was terminated from his employment for refusing to have sex with his supervisor, who is the daughter of the owners of the defendant's business. Plaintiff alleges he suffered mental and emotional distress, loss of enjoyment of life, embarrassment, humiliation and lost income and benefits.

The plaintiff holds Azalea Cleaners Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to act reasonably to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment and failed to adopt an effective policy to prevent the same.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, attorney fees and costs and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and equitable. He is represented by Nelson W. Cameron in Shreveport.
