University of New Orleans claims Orleans Parish resident owes $2,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages from an Orleans Parish resident for an unpaid note.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit May 30 against Keishan T. Goodman in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued the defendant goods/services, which have not been paid. The suit states that the defendant still is indebted to the plaintiff with a balance of $2,000.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
