Orleans Parish man allegedly injured when his foot was lodged in his apartment floor

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish man claims that he was injured when his foot got stuck in his apartment floor.

John E. Kent Jr. filed a lawsuit May 26 against Arc Investments and Nautilus Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at an apartment at 8540 Huntington Park Drive, where he lived on May 29, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when his foot became stuck between the floor of his apartment and the ceiling of the unit below.

The defendant is accused of failing to maintain proper upkeep of the property and overall negligence in failing to warn of the danger.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by himself.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
