Couple claims RTV Real Estate Holding failed to complete construction of property

NEW ORLEANS – A couple claims that a company breached a contract by failing to finish its work.

Michael G. Dumas and Dolores B. Dumas filed a lawsuit June 8 against RTV Real Estate Holding LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs and defendant entered into an agreement for the purchase of a property at 2336 N. Village Court, Gretna. The suit states that the agreement was made Oct. 25, 2016, and that the defendant failed to complete the construction of the property despite having received a deposit of $1,500 from the plaintiffs.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The couple seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Scott, Vicknair, Hair & Checki LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
