New Orleans Redevelopment Co. claims property wasn't improved as agreed

NEW ORLEANS – A redevelopment company is seeking damages for breach of contract.

New Orleans Redevelopment Co. filed a lawsuit June 16 against Jennifer Duhe and David Willie Johnson, the city of New Orleans, Clarice E. Jacobs and the state of Louisiana in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for breach of contract following the sale of the property at 4811 Longfellow Drive, New Orleans. The defendants allegedly agreed they would pay for the upkeep and improvements to the property, but the suit states that the defendants failed to do so.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Victoria Hines in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
