NEW ORLEANS – A St. Tammany Parish software development company alleges it lost a contract because of a subcontractors negligent over-billing.
The Windward Group LLC filed a complaint on June 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Reva Solutions Inc. alleging breach of contract, tortious interference with contractual and/or business relations and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff as contracted by Murphy Oil USA in June 2015 to provide assessment and design services for a content management program. The suit states that the plaintiff subcontracted the defendant to provide technical assistance.
The plaintiff holds Reva Solutions Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently and/or fraudulently over-billed the work it performed in connection with project, which caused Murphy to cancel the project with the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages for loss of existing business, including loss of potential business, expenses incurred, interest, attorney’s fees and costs of these proceedings.
