BATON ROUGE – An East Baton Rouge consumer has filed suit against an Ascension Parish man over allegations he failed to perform the services he was paid to do.

Curtis Barron filed a complaint on June 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana against Sherman Anderson Jr. citing the Credit Repair Organizations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 29, 2016, the plaintiff paid defendant $2,500 to assist him to improve his credit record and credit rating. The plaintiff holds Anderson Jr. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to take any action to improve plaintiff's credit record, credit history and/or credit rating and failed to refund any money received from plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and punitive damages, attorney fees, litigation expenses and costs and all other and further relief as the court may deem appropriate. He is represented by Garth J. Ridge of Garth J. Ridge Attorney At Law in Baton Rouge.
