New Orleans Redevelopment Authority claims man failed to make repairs to property

NEW ORLEANS – A redevelopment authority is seeking damages for a breach of contract.

New Orleans Redevelopment Authority filed a lawsuit June 21 against John D. Joyner of East Baton Rouge Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for breach of contract concerning the property at 936 Andry St. in New Orleans. In exchange for an affordable deal on the property, the defendant agreed to make repairs and improvements to the property. However, the suit states that the defendant failed to do so.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Victoria Hines in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
