Dr. Hickham and Associates accused of age discrimination

GRETNA — A woman is suing Michael Hickham and Dr. Hickham and Associates for allegedly firing and replacing her with a younger employee.

Peggy Marquez filed a suit March 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging breach of contract and unjust termination.

According to the claim, the plaintiff claims that her employment was terminated by the defendant due to her age. The plaintiff was 64 years old at the time of her termination, and she was replaced by a 27-year-old employee.

The defendant is accused of unjust termination, discrimination and overall breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Peter M. Meisner in River Ridge.
