GRETNA — A patron is suing Walmart for alleged negligence. 

Tenisha Clark filed a suit July 4 in the 24th Judicial District Court, claiming that the defendant failed to prevent her from falling one of its stores.

According to the claim, the plaintiff alleges that she was a patron at a Walmart store on July 6, 2016 when she slipped and fell on a foreign substance that had been left of the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence for allegedly failing to clean up the mess or warn the plaintiff of the danger.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mike Harris of Harris Law Firm PLC in New Orleans.
