Essential Federal Credit Union claims Jefferson Parish man failed to pay over $18,000

GRETNA – A credit union is seeking damages for nearly $20,000.

Essential Federal Credit Union filed a suit July 11 against Philip O. Fontana of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a promissory note for the balance of $18,729.88.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by W. Michael Stemmans, M. Todd Alley, Michael J. Taffaro, Jennifer E. Frederickson of Stemmans & Alley of Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
