Opportunity Homes Limited Partnership, others accused of not fixing broken step on property

NEW ORLEANS — A woman is suing Opportunity Homes Limited Partnership, Neal Morris d/b/a Project Renew LLC, Project Renew LLA and New Orleans Apartment Management and Marketing LLC for alleged negligence.

Lutrina Jones filed a lawsuit on July 6 in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court, seeking damages for a broken step.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 14, 2016. The suit alleges that the defendants failed to maintain a broken step on their property at 2518 S. Roman St. in New Orleans despite allegedly being aware of the defect. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to fall due to the broken step, leading to injury.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Thomas E. Campbell in Metairie.
