Jefferson Parish woman claims flooring was negligently installed

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman claims that a floor was poorly installed.

Marie Landry filed a suit against Bruce Miller, doing business as Bruce Jr. Construction LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff hired the defendant to make repairs to the flooring at a property at 4824 Academy Drive in Metairie. The suit states that the defendant failed to complete the work in a satisfactory manner and that the improper installation and insufficient quality caused expensive repairs and replacements of the flooring.

The defendant is accused of negligent work.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Stephen C. Juan in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
