Southeastern Louisiana University seeking payment from Orleans Parish resident

NEW ORLEANS – A university claims that an Orleans Parish student failed to pay sums due.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a lawsuit against Magdalen Bickford in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment for sums due on an account in the balance of $2,568.14 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of having sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
