Nicholls State claims student owes over $5,500 on promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for sums due on a promissory note.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a lawsuit against Narviero M. Rouser in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of an open account for the balance of $5,521.88 plus interest. The suit states that the defendant was issued a promissory note but failed to honor the terms.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
