OneMain Financial Group seeking nearly $9,000 from Orleans Parish man

NEW ORLEANS – A financial group claims it is owed money for an unpaid account.

OneMain Financial Group LLC filed a lawsuit against Dwayne Porter of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid account of $8,906.69. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make payments on the account.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Naomi A. Cohen Ivker of Zarzaur and Schwartz P.C. in Birmingham, Alabama.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
