Woman alleges toxic mold at 2601 LLC owned property caused injuries

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish woman claims that she has been injured because of exposure to toxic mold at her office.

Chastity Tillman filed a lawsuit July 25 against 2601 LLC and ABC insurance company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by Orleans Public Defendants at the 2601 Tillman Ave., New Orleans office for a period of time. The suit states the defendant owns the office property.

The suit states that over the course of her employment, the plaintiff was exposed to dangerous mold and that the defendant breached its duty by not removing or remediating the mold at the property.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jeremy Z. Soso, Hugh P. Lambert and Caycee C. Peterson of The Lambert Firm PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G. Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
