Orleans Parish resident accused of failing to repay promissory note for shoring work

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company is seeking payment of sums due on a promissory note.

Tim Clark Construction LLC filed a lawsuit against Upton Pearson of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for work done on a shoring contract for the defendant. The suit states that the defendant had been provided with funds from the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program following Hurricane Katrina, but he allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff for the work completed. The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for the total of $30,000 on a promissory note plus fees.

The defendant is accused of an unpaid account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Blake E. Oakes of The Oakes Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
