Elba Medical Distribution claims hospice company failed to pay over $45,000

NEW ORLEANS – A medical-distribution company is seeking nearly $50,000.

Elba Medical Distribution, doing business as The Original Patio Drugs, filed a lawsuit against Gulf South Hospice of New Orleans Ltd., doing business as Gulf South Hospice of Baton Rouge, doing business as Gulf South Hospice of New Orleans, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff claims the defendant owes the balance of $46,758.73 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael C. Code of UBC LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
