American Express seeks payment from Jefferson Parish resident

GRETNA – American Express is seeking more than $2,000 from a Jefferson Parish customer.

American Express Centurion Bank filed a suit against Joseph J. Morris in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account on a credit card with the balance of $2,261.42 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
