Orleans Parish resident allegedly failed to pay over $60,000 on mortgage

NEW ORLEANS – A mortgage company is seeking more than $60,000 due on a mortgage.

Federal National Mortgage Association filed a lawsuit against Gilda Riley Thomas, also known as Gilda R. Tomas, also known as Gilda Thomas, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due on a mortgage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking $60,324.65 plus interest because the defendant allegedly failed to keep up with mortgage payments.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Corey J. Giroir of The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock Jr. in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
