University of New Orleans seeks more than $1,500 from a student

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $1,500 from an Orleans Parish resident.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit against Jean Ann Rapp in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of $1,557.75 on an open account. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make the necessary payments to satisfy the debt.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
