University of New Orleans claims Orleans Parish woman owes over $2,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $2,000 from a student.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit against Ebony Monique Thomas in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for the balance of $2,432.15 plus interest for the fall 2010 semester.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Anthony D. Winters of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
