Orleans Parish student accused of failing to pay for university classes

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $700 from an Orleans Parish student.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit against Carlin Blaine Moses Harris in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment for enrollment during the fall 2013 semester. The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $705.50.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
