Delgado Community College claims Orleans Parish resident failed to pay over $2,000

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $2,000 from a former student from Orleans Parish.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit against Verlene W. Johnson in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of $2,029.10 plus interest. The suit states that the defendant attended the institution in the fall 2013 semester.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
