Woman claims she fell at Kenner Plaza Shopping Center due to unmarked curb

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is seeking damages for a trip and fall.

Myrna Gonzalez filed a suit against Kenner Plaza Shopping Center LLC and Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence. 

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 3312 Williams Blvd. in Kenner on Sept. 22, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she tripped and fell on a curb in the parking lot that was not painted or marked in a way that made it noticeable.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to ensure that the obstacle was easily visible, failing to warn of danger and overall negligence of management.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Allan Berger of Allan Berger & Associates LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
