GRETNA — The University of New Orleans is seeking damages for an open account that is in arrears for more than $1,300.
The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a suit on Sept. 18 against Melissa Elizabeth Martino in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging she owes $1,325.94 plus interest on a debt dating back to the spring of 2013.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
