NEW ORLEANS — A community college claims that it is owed nearly $900 for an open account.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit on Sept. 20 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Tinesha A. Carter, alleging an open account.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account, claiming that the defendant failed to pay back the balance of $897 plus interest after attending the institution.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
