University of New Orleans is seeking damages for more than $3,300

NEW ORLEANS — A university is seeking more than $3,300.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit on Sept. 18 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Kimberly Dawn Risher, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff claims that the defendant has failed to pay the amount owed for attending the institution. The defendant is allegedly indebted to the plaintiff for $3,350.75 plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
