University of New Orleans claims that it is owed more than $1,000

NEW ORLEANS — A university is seeking more than $1,000 in damages for an open account.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit on Sept. 18 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Jordan J. Odom, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking $1,108.75 plus interest, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay the institution for attending.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
