GRETNA – The University of New Orleans is seeking damages of more than $11,000 over a former student's open account.
The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a suit Oct. 9 against Tori Caillier in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging open account.
The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $11,193.50 plus interest.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Assistant Attorney General Scott L. Smith of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
