NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking damages from a former student.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit Oct. 2 against Deshone D. Baker in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $500. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the services rendered while attending the college.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Assistant Attorney General Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
