A Circle K Store accused of negligence after slip-and-fall

GRETNA – A Circle K Store is being sued for a slip-and-fall that a customer says was caused by a gasoline spill.

Susan Greenberg Jaffe filed a suit Oct. 12 against Circle K. Stores Inc in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence..

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that occurred on Nov. 30, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the Circle K on 330 Veterans Memorial Highway in Metairie to get gas for her car when she slipped and fell as a result of pooled gasoline near a pump, injuring her knee.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Greenberg of Greenberg & LaPeyronnie LLC in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Nancy A. Miller.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 776774.
