Woman sued for more than $1,500 on J.C. Penney account

GRETNA  — A woman is being sued for more than $1,500 in sums due on her J.C. Penney account.

Midland Funding LLC filed a suit on Nov. 3 against Daisy Figueroa in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging she owes the unpaid balance of $1,512.29 plus interest. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay since the plaintiff made amicable demands on July 27, 2017.

The defendant is accused of an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael L. Lancaster of Eaton Group Attorneys LLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
