Orleans Parish man allegedly owes more than $3,000 to OneMain Financial

NEW ORLEANS – A financial institution is seeking more than $3,000 in an alleged unpaid debt held by an Orleans Parish man.

OneMain Financial of Louisiana Inc, formerly known as SpringLeaf Financial Services of Louisiana Inc., filed a lawsuit on Oct. 30 against Joshua C. Careno in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging  he owes the balance of $3,403 plus interest. 

The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the balance owed despite amicable demand.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Naomi A. Cohen Ivker of Zarzaur and Schwartz PC in Birmingham, Alabama.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
