Delgado Community College trying to collect more than $2,000

NEW ORLEANS – A former Delgado Community College student allegedly owes the school more than $2,000.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit on Oct.  30 against Shenell Marie Jones in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging she owes $2,208 plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin Knott.
