Woman claims injuries after falling in Orleans Parish Ross

NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she was caused to trip and fall while shopping in an Orleans Parish Ross.

Ingrid Hearns-Alexander filed a lawsuit on Nov. 28  against Ross Stores Inc. and XYZ Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 20, 2016 when the plaintiff was in the Ross on 2900 S. Claiborne Ave. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to trip and fall on some empty racks, which had been left in a dangerous place.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John D. Sileo in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
