NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she was injured when she slipped on an oily substance and fell in a New Orleans Winn-Dixie.
Cheryl Paige and Stanley Paige Sr. filed a lawsuit on Oct. 23 against Winn-Dixie Montgomery LLC and Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Oct. 24, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she slipped and fell on an oily liquid that had been left on the ground in the freezer section of the store.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Pierre F. Gaudin in Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
