Client accuses Heavenly Sent of negligence

NEW ORLEANS – An injured woman allegedly was not assisted by a driver working for a non-emergency medical transport company although she clearly needed help.

Allieta Butler Blue filed a lawsuit on Oct. 4 against Heavenly Sent of New Orleans LLC and Gateway Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Oct. 5, 2016. The suit states that the defendant's picked up the plaintiff from her home to take her to a local hospital. As the plaintiff exited the vehicle, she allegedly struggled due to a physical condition and the defendant failed to assist her.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Shawon Jackson Bernard of Bernard Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
