Woman allegedly injured in fall at New Orleans airport

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims she was caused to trip and fall in an airport parking lot.

Connie Corrales De Zelaya filed a lawsuit September 8 against the City of New Orleans, New Orleans Aviation Board, The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Chubb North American Claims in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on Sept. 9, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall on a dangerous patch of pavement at the airport.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to warn of the danger or maintain the area.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Arthur O. Schott III of Riguer Silva LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
