Couple claims item fell from semi and hit their car on I-10

GRETNA – A couple was injured in a car accident when an item allegedly fell from a semi and struck their car.

Aline and Wilfred Moore filed a suit on Nov. 3 against Hallmark Security Underwriters, MGJ Trucking LLC and Jeremy Dennis Black in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 2, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiffs were in their car on Interstate 10 when an unsecured object on the back of the semi fell and hit their car,  causing damages and injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by Leonard J. Cline in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
