Woman claims she was injured after falling in Marrero Winn-Dixie parking lot

GRETNA – A woman claims she suffered permanent injuries after falling a Winn-Dixie parking lot.

Pamela L. Theriot and Randy G. Theriot filed a suit Dec. 8 against Winn Dixie Stores Inc., doing business as Winn Dixie #1440; SMI Realty Management Ltd; Associated Industries Insurance Co. Inc.; and The North River Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, on Dec. 9, 2016, the plaintiff was at Winn Dixie at 4627 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. She was walking through the parking lot when she tripped and fell on uneven pavement. The plaintiff claims the fall caused permanent injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mario A. Arteaga Jr. of Palazzo Law Firm in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
