GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she claims she was thrown from her wheelchair while being transported in a shuttle.
Marilyn Daigle filed a suit Dec. 4 against Secure Patient Delivery Shuttle LLC and Secure Patient Delivery LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff received treatment March 7 at Ochsner Medical Center West Bank when she was provided a ride in the Secure Patient Delivery. The defendant failed to secure the plaintiff's wheelchair in the shuttle, and the plaintiff was thrown from her wheelchair when the vehicle suddenly stopped, the suit claims.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David H. Hanchey of Dudley Debosier in New Orleans.
