B&G Construction claims client owes money

GRETNA — A construction company claims that a contractor failed to pay the percentage owed.

B&G Construction & Restoration Inc. filed a suit on Aug. 23 against Allen Roddy in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract and damages.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Aug.19, 2016 when the plaintiff contracted the defendant to repair property at 624 Chalmette St. The suit states that despite the defendant confirming that the job had been completed, the defendant failed to remit the portion of the payment necessary to the plaitniff.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Stanwood R. Duval of Duval, Funderburk, Sundberry, Richard & Watkins in Hourna.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
