Man claims he was deceived into thinking A/C was fixed

Contract 10

GRETNA — A man is seeking damages, claiming that his air conditioning was not repaired properly in his motor home.

Stanton Barrett filed a suit on Aug. 23 against Paul Faucheux and On the Geaux RV Service LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract, fraud and unjust enrichment.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages because he allegedly was led to believe that his air conditioning unit in his motor home was fixed by the defendant. The suit states, however, that the defendant was deceptive and failed to fix the A/C after which he began to avoid the plaintiff's phone calls.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and fraud.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ashly Van Earl of Earl & Messer in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
