New Orleans woman claims negligence led to fall at her apartment

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages for a trip and fall at her apartment.

Evelyn Benjamin filed a lawsuit Dec. 15 against The Charlotte Commons Condominium Homeowner's Association Inc., Pinnacle Property Management LLC, ABC Insurance Co. and XYZ Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place on January 4, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was a resident at the defendant's property at 3201 Carondolet St., New Orleans when she was caused to trip and fall on an object on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to warn of the danger and failing to clean up the premises.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John W. Redmann of the Law Office of John W. Redmann LLC in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
