Man claims he was burnt by Hose Guys' product

GRETNA — A man is seeking damages, claiming that he was burnt by a faulty hose.

Eugene Lupo filed a suit on Dec. 14 against Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's London, Subscribing to Policy No. BCGL 2362, and Clear Choice Enterprises LLC, doing business as Hose Guys, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on May 11, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was using equipment manufactured by the Hose Guys when it malfunctioned, and caused the plaintiff to be burnt on the face and arms.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to warn of the danger or to manufacture the hose properly.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Graham J. Rees of Charbonnet Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright.
