GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after a fence fell on her.

Catherine Webb filed a suit Dec. 18 against Ironshore Insurance Services LLC, NC Triumph Laurel Gardens LLC, Mesa Underwriters Specialty Insurance Co. and Anderson Iron Works II Inc., in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place Nov. 4, 2017. The suit states the plaintiff was taking the trash out at her apartments at Laurel Gardens Apartments and was opening her fence to take the trash out. The suit states that the fence became unattached from the hinges and fell on her.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to install the fence correctly.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Megan C. Kiefer of Kiefer & Kiefer in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
